Without darkness, one cannot gauge the value of light. People need a frame of reference for understanding the meaning of every concept.
Similarly, that is why the proverbial road to heaven is straight and narrow, or if we are on it, the road to hell is broad and balmy.
Hence, it is of utmost importance to treat despair like the sin it is, because look at this rationally: if you are happy right now, karma necessarily dictates that things will get tough.
And more pertinently, if things are tough right now, the law of equal and opposite reaction dictates that you are on the way to happiness.
Here are ten signs that say you are are doing things right, even if things are difficult right now.
1. You never seem to have time
For the things and people you love. This is simply because you are just getting started on the path to greater achievement, which let me remind you, is not going anywhere. Your struggles will make your life a lot smoother afterwards.
2. You own up to your mistakes
Because it takes struggles to get you to know the value of things and to gain wisdom. And with that wisdom comes the courage to own up to your mistakes.
3. You are really afraid of making mistakes
Because you don’t want to lose control again. The last time things went south, you weren’t in a good place. It’s wise to be afraid of that.
4. You have had it with people and their toxicity
You prefer your own company and the productiveness that comes from it. It is far healthier and far more creative a circumstance to put yourself in.
5. You give up easy when things don’t go exactly your way
Perfection has become your motto because you know where half-assed things get you: nowhere.
6. You feel insignificant w.r.t. the grander scheme of life
Because you know that without the proper amount of hard work, people don’t amount to anything. They are just nobodies with varying degrees of egos.
7. You have let go of things that didn’t fit with your ultimate aims in life
And those include relationships, older views and even fields of study. As long as something doesn’t get you somewhere, it is dead weight at the end of the day.
8. You pay attention to the details
Because they are right there and are very immediate concerns, in place of the so-called grander scheme of things, which despite being something important, is most of the times, only a cause of fear and anxiety.
9. You get overwhelmed with your own ideas
That’s okay. You will get there.
10. You feel unimportant
Trust us, you aren’t. Don’t make anyone feel that way and don’t let anyone get away with making you feel that way.
